Adjectives

What is an adjective? An adjective describes something or someone.

Examples:
tall
blue
big
old
round
clever

It describes a noun, and usually it comes before it:
A blue book

a tall man

We can also use an adjective when we want to compare (samanlikne/sammeligne) something or someone:
Peter is older than Susan.

There are three degrees of comparison:

Positive - Comparative - Superlative

When a word has two or more syllables (stavingar/stavelser), we use more and most:

expensive - more expensive - most expensive

There are also some irregular adjectives:

Positive - Comparative - Superlative

good - better - best
bad - worse - worst
little - less - least
many/much - more - most
