What is an adjective? An adjective describes something or someone.
Examples:
tall
blue
big
old
round
clever
It describes a noun, and usually it comes before it:
A blue book
an orange bee
a tall man
We can also use an adjective when we want to compare (samanlikne/sammeligne) something or someone:
Peter is older than Susan.
My grandmother is the oldest in our family.
There are three degrees of comparison:
Positive - Comparative - Superlative
old - older - oldest
dark - darker - darkest
small - smaller - smallest
When a word has two or more syllables (stavingar/stavelser), we use more and most:
Positive - Comparative - Superlative
frightening - more frightening - most frightening
beautiful - more beautiful - most beautiful
expensive - more expensive - most expensive
There are also some irregular adjectives:

good - better - best
bad - worse - worst
little - less - least
many/much - more - most
